"Early Style 202 Heads"

What are they? Are they any good? The seller of the L98 I'm looking at told me it had them. It's out of an '88. Thanks

Depends on how early they are. pre 68 heads only had one acessory hole, so you cant bolt all of your stuff up to them. They flow Pretty well with some mild porting. Probbaly better than L98s, and they have the bigger valves. The earlier ones also had smaller combustion chambers too. As they were mostly on 327s. So that makes a big difference too. Why dont you go over to the place and pull a valvecover so you can check the numbers on the head. That should give you the info you need.

They've got to be Post-1968 then because the motor is in the car and running. Did 2.02 heads ever come stock in 3rd gens? I thought stock heads were 1.94? Thanks Darth.
