hey my friend just got his car off the dyno and his number seem good to me just wondering what you guys think

these numbers came with 164,000+ miles
only mods are K&N filter and wierd ram air setup, full time posi rear end with 3.23's, underdrive pulley, and battery relocation.

does this sound right?

Well is it a 305, 350, TPI, TBI, carb????

 

sounds about right for a pretty stock 305 TBI.

Mine made 178 rwhp @ 3900-4900 rpm
and 271 rwtq @2800 rpm

This was with headers, cat-back, k&N, timing at 7*, and the car ran 14.7s @92-93mph. ~110,000 miles at the time. Take off the headers, and it would make the exact same numbers as you posted.

 

Just curious, what's the numbers for a stock 305 TPI?

 

I ran 179rwhp and 243rwtq.. stock 305.. dirty filter.. converter acting up. 2.73's auto. TPI.

I got 168rwhp and 240rwtq. Same engine and gears/tran

 

I got 147 on my car with open element and K&N. But it wouldn't stop shifting from 3-4. So it was messed up because it kept hitting the speed limiter in 4th

 

I got 152rwhp and 228rwtq with a k&n filter and a flowmaster muffler and mitis exhast. On my 305 tbi

 

214/312 bone stock. I was pretty pleased.
