Question Dumb would this work question (O2sencor) .

If I took the wire comeing off the O2 and ran it to an Ohm meter and set it to read mV and take the other lead and run it to ground would I get a reading that I could use?
Just an Idea, I wouldn't have asked if I had my ohm meter, I would have tested it.

This is all my friend does to moniter O2 volts. The O2 sensor has to still be hooked up though. I was a little unsure if you meant to just run the leads to the O2 sensor unhooked or if you meant to tap into the wire going to it.

Eather way taped or unhooked and run to a ohm meter or 0 - 1 volt gauge.
It's not being used for any thing.

I dont really understand the question but if what I think you are saying is in fact what you are saying than yes, you run one lead of your DVOM to the signal wire in the 02 sensor and run the other to ground to read the voltage produced in the 02 sensor.

I have to use a digital meter?
I didn't know if there would be enough current to hold a reading on a nedle volt gauge.
I wanted to put in a 0-1.5 or 2 volt gauge for a more perment, check it all the time gauge.

Theres no reason you can't use an analog gauge to read the voltage level. The only thing is that the O2 HAS to be hooked up and working or you won't get any reading at all.
