hi guys, i just installed a new drivers door handle on the car(outside).it worked for about a week now it seems the rod popped out of the handle and it wont open again.a bigger problem is that i cant get the door open(even from the inside)any ideas on how to get the door open so i can take off the panel and look at it?

this is a 1986 z28 sorry

there is a plastic wrist clip that holds the upper part of the rod in and IIRC the lower snakes in. go to the HELP section of the parts store and they may have this part.
as for opening the door, the inner handle should open it and make sure its not locked.

thanks chicken,by looking at it through the top of the door it looks like the plastic clip was not on properly(my bad) as for the door i tried to push it open from the inside and couldnt,im opening the handle as i do it.ill try again thanks.
