hi ,i need to replace my drivers door handle on my 86 z28.are any of the aftermarket handles good or junk? and is it a big deal to change one of these? any help would be aprieciated.

yeah can pick one up at your local autozone or advance auto parts. i think its pretty much a very popular handle. i cant remember but they had to overnight order my passenger or driver handle ??? i cant remember, i think there like you bucks max. just put you window all the way down. be careful when removing the door panels and top trim rail same with the clips that hold your door mechanism bars as now in 2008 there 21 years old and very brittle. i think its 2 speed nuts( pick yourself up a pack of new speed nuts if they dont come in the box with your handle!!! its no big deal at all just alot of tedious trim work.. also while your in there lube your window tracks with white lithium grease since you have all the panels off anyway. they are going to need it its been 21 years

Be better off buing a GM handle.
The aftermarket junk usually lasts about 1 year and then it snaps off in your hand....
