i just did a drivers side outside door handle on my 86 z28,if i new the trouble i was getting into i would have sold the car first.it seemed like everthing i touched was brittle and snapped.the window now rubs when going up and im still trying to get feeling back in my fingers from trying to secure the handle with the speed nuts.but i guess it had to be done.

 

you may need new inner and outer window top rails.
