I run spherical rod ended stuff...LCAs/PHR and it's the only way to go. I can actually sell you a set. E-mail me if you're interested. Brand new, hand made.

Rod ends are the best way to go since they're a solid ball joint. Poly or rubber bushings still allow flex for a quieter and smoother ride.

The downside of spherical rod ends in a street car is that they transmit a lot of road noise into the car. Also in a car that puts on a lot of miles, the rod ends need to be changed every couple of years because they do wear out.

Yep...Stephen is right. I didn't really comment much on the items themselves in my first post. But poly bushings end up binding under load and that is a negative of having them. Heim joints (spherical rod ends) provide a bind-free aspect...but as mentioned wear out after a few years. BUT...new heim joints are cheap $20/pair of grade 12 which is what is used on the items I have available.

They do transmit road noise, but that's nothing that an aftermarket exhaust system can't take care of...heh. You end up learning to ignore it, just like with most things.

I have seen the pieces that Eric has. They are very strong and very well made. Good quality piece and Eric is a great person to work with.

If you have a street driven car, I would go with non- adjustable standard rear LCA's and Panhard bar. Such as the ones offered by Spohn Performance. My opinion ( I have the Spohn LCA's, Panhard Bar & Tube type SFC's).

Cool

I already have the Combo Panhard Rod from Spohn but I was curious about the Combo LCAs. I would be interested in seeing your LCAs Eric. Post your pics...

i have all spherical ends on my rear suspension. i can't even begine to describe how nice teh ride was. all teh suspension movement was percectly smooth with out any busjing bind, so the entire range of motion was smooth.
the only complaint i ever had about my suspension was that the spohn sherical arm is noisy, and that was only a complaint from passengers
0 deflection = performance. sherical ends are the only wat to get umcompromised range of motion and no deflection.

later

I've got spherical LCAs and the spherical Spohn TA they are kind of noisy till the car gets to about 20mph then they settle down but as was previously stated the handling is awsome and you tune them out till someone rides with you. One of my buddies thought my susp. was worn out from the noise but no I had just three weeks prior installed my pieces.

I run Lakewoods' urethane LCA's and adjustable panhard rod(..incase I lower it a couple of inches..), and have noticed it's stopped the wheel-hop but I still spin tires. I'm hoping the LCA rear drop brkts will stop the spinning...
The Lakewoods are heavy built square tube steel units with greaseable yellow urethane bushings. I'm not sure what your calling "spherical" tho...

Spohn lower control arms with spherical ends. They don't have bushings at all, just a solid steel spherical joint which allows full range of motion with no binding. It's the good stuff.

Ahh, I know exactly what you mean, just never heard them called spherical. There like the swiveling3-pt hitch connector a tractor uses.
I don't think I'd like my teeth jarred out by the vibration they'd transmit, I mean the urethane is bad enough.

Yeah, AKA Heim joints. Actually, they aren't really that bad. Mine have a poly joint on the chassis end and a spherical bearing (heim joint) on the axle end. I guess the poly end kind of dampens vibes but they ride pretty good.
