Do you think they will bring back the camaro?

if they do, what do you think it would look like. you think it would be like the mustang with a 60's body?

A while back I heard that they were going to have a new IROC, which would be totally KICK ***, but havn't heard anything lately.
IMOP, a 67'ish style new Camaro would be soooooo SWEAT!!

They wont come out with a 67'ish style because i dont think anyone would buy it. I would expect if they do come out with a new camaro it would either A) be a slightly more boxy version of the next generation corvette that theyre coming out with or B) look for something between the third gen/4th gen body lines so it would probably be smooth and have some nice curves like the 4th gens but be have a much more bold line to it. Also i have not heard anything about them developing one either.

You don't think so? The PT cruiser has done pretty well, so I think some retro styling might sell well.

I'm sure Chevy will put out a 2-door 4 seater 8-cylinder performance car, whatever the name.

honestly,i think if they put a 69 Camaro body on a brand new chassis, they wouldnt be able to keep them in stock. obviously the "retro" style is where the market is going so why would Chevy do the totally opposite thing and risk a failure?

I think they'll go retro no doubt. A new IROC would be insane I've heard around '05 or '06. And it sucks no Firebird/Trans Am. Most years the Pontiacs look MUCH better.

Heh, I actually have pictures of the "fifth gen" concept cars... sooo they're obviously thinking about going retro, as its very similiar to a '67.

The retro look is badass, especially on some newer concepts I've seen. If you head over to the 5th gen forum you can see most of them. But let's not put retro in front of functionality, I hear people saying "Let's bring back the 454 Carb in a factory Camaro!!!!"

I mean, I guess that'd be cool but FI is where it's at now a days

I hope it comes back, but not as an XLR

If you have not owned a PT Cruiser or driven one then dont bytch about them we owned a 02 model with 7miles on it when we bought it. We loved the thing but knew when the PT GTs came out that the resell vavlue would drop on the reg. PTs & we were right.
The PTs are great family cars.

PT's are everywhere now..eventhough I would never buy one, I know my parents were in the market for one. Seem like decent family cars.

If you pick up this months issue of Popular Hot Rodding they do a feature on a fifth gen Camaro. And let me tell you guys if they build it I will buy it even if it puts my *** so far in debt i'll never be able to climb out. In my opinion GM really screwed up when they killed their pony cars. Now they have nothing to compete against the new Mustang and they're alienating the common man who doesn't have about 45K to blow on a Vette. I think the public has spoken and they want a Camaro. If you go to popularhotrodding.com and read the feature on the 5th Gen you'll find that GM may bring back the Camaro in around '06 or '07. But if they don't then they're gay and i'll go blue oval.

my point being more someone was saying the pt did well because of its styling which isnt really true theyve done well because theyre nice on the inside and are rediculously cheap. The other problem is the mustang yeah theyre taking "elanore" type styling which is still relatively modern and putting it into the next generation. I couldnt see something that resembled an old school muscle car like a maro or chevelle sort of styling having a place in the current market.
