You Guys,
What is the name of the rectangular piece of metal that sits on top of the tpi intake? Many times it has a chevy emblem on it or says TPI. It has 5 or 6 screws in it. I need to know so that I can buy one. As always, THANKS GUYS!

The part with the TPI or Chevy logo on it you are referring to is the Throttle Body. Why do you need to buy a new one?
#1 As a beginning modification, buying a bigger Throttle Body is of no use. It won't gain you much more than a few hp. (roughly 5)
#2 Your money could be spent better elsewhere.
