Re: Deleting EGR

I plan to do this but itis going to require some tuning to make it work. My interest is to work toward the LT1 intake mod.

Re: Deleting EGR

You can remove it, but it will set a code, unless you have your chip re-programmed to have the EGR turned off.

Re: Deleting EGR

Air Pump that will free up some space and weight under the hood. Ditching the A/C will take it even a step further on space and weight. If thats what your looking for.

Re: Deleting EGR

yea fl = hot...ac stays lol. But yea im just trying to clean up that jumbled mess under the hood. The engine is being pulled soon so im gunna clean everything up, repaint the compartment and scrap all the crap i dont need. So the egr and air pump...sounds good

Re: Deleting EGR

switch to a carb..that cleans it up a bit ...ac delete makes a huge difference, escpecially if you get the 1le box like i did...airpump delete also makes it alot easier to get to the plugs too...new intake i think is the biggest thing to make it look cleaner...stealth rams look awesome under the hood...

Re: Deleting EGR

heh, yea i like fuel injection, so no carb for me. I was going to swap to a stealth ram upon reassembly. But yea the air pump and egr are deff gunna go. My a/c i believe works, but im not even sure<not charged> lol, if it doesnt..then bye bye.

whats the 1lE?

Re: Deleting EGR

why do you wanna rip egr off..first you aint going to see much of an increase if any..secongd it shouldnt set a light off cause an egr if i recall is only an output signal and that shouldnt set off light unless you unplug the electricall conector..just remove the egr valve or just unhook it and plug the vacuum line..the comp dont know if the vacuum line is unhooked as long as its plugged..what exactly are you looking to do?make horsepower?lighten car?go fasteR?????
