Daul Cooling Fan conversion

Question Daul Cooling Fan conversion

I need some opinions on converting to daul fans...I was just going to buy another relay and waire it in to the exsisting one b/c that what most everyone dose BUt i was looking on 3rdgen.org and found this nice little item http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...6759&x=22&y=12 And was woundering if maybe that would be better b/c it is adjustable and it also is supposed to controll 2 fans if necesarry.....?Thanx

that looks like it might work to me. probably cheaper than doing the dual fan swap

You can use that. I installed 2 of those for some friends, not that exact one but ones similiar.

One was installed on a Ford Lightning with a single Electric fan conversion and the other was on my friends 86 Z28.
On the Z, he originally wired up the extra fans to a switch and had the wires start to melt and smolder so I told him to get some relays and the temp controlled relay and I'd wire it up for him.
I used the temp controlled relay to control the 3 standard relays and it works perfectly.

yeah, those work pretty good, make sure to put the probe next to the inlet hose- even then, the temp reading on the probe is going to be a little less than the actual engine temp, so keep that in mind.
