Damn Car (Semi-Long)
Damn Car (Semi-Long)
Driving the other day. I noticed outta nowhere when I accelerate it makes a funny noise. Kinda like a playin card in a bike spoke sound (we all know we did it when we were kids!) It sumtymes does it at idle and sounds louder when I accelerate. My friend told me its either my headers or collectors are loose and need to be tighten or replacing of the gaskets is at hand. Inspecting the headers they seem fine now the collectors I could believe its that since I have scraped that y-pipe more often than I wish/should and dont have jacks and stands to check it out. My dad says it sounds like a cylinder not gettin any spark but i recently did a tune up and replaced like 2 wires that were fried due to the headers (got all the wires away from headers this problem is solved). One more thing after gettin my alarm installed I got a code 34...seeing how I have an LG4 it would be something up with my MAP Sensor. I believe/hope they would have knocked it offline. Would that has something to contribute to the card in spoke sound? So my question is which of these 3 are contributing to this sound or is it something I missed alltogeher? I know this is long but I wanna get these problems fixed ASAP so I could concentrate on my slowly dieing 700-r4...Thanx in advance people!
my car does the same thing i thought it was something on the tire but it was from the engine. i parked the car and checked it. it came from a manifold fom the drivers side. i had a friend accelarte the car and i felt alot of air come out the manifold. I havn't been to fix mine becuase a need a new transmission.

yea its from the passenger side header. My friend said maybe tighten the bolts will help it due to engine vibrations makin em loose. Should i do that or just go ahead replace the gasket? im glad i finally figured it out it was pissin me off some. Thanx guys
