cust at high rpm

cust at high rpm

ok i blew 2 holes in the side of my tbi 305... swaped for a bigger 305 out of a 84 gmc truck with a turbo 400 tranny runs great until high idle and it cuts out really bad... i have replaced pluge wires and coil... the only thing that i can think of is a bad plug or wire anyone got any ideas???? HELP PLEASE


it is a carb motor btw... i know i have a choke issue but even if i hold it open it still cuts out....

What do the spark plugs look like? Pull a few out and report back!

If one engine ran good with it's carb and then you put that carb on a larger engine or just one that wants more air, it will then be LEAN. It will want more fuel. If it's lean it can cut out, etc.

well see the motor that was in it was a tbi and i swaped out for a carbed motor. the plugs i just replaced but they seem to have loose ceramics on them. i have been working on cars for a long time and i just dont get this one.
