crate motor?

Best crate motor for my 1984 Z28, for under 4k? GM motor

Fast burn 385 for $4300 if you can save up a little more $$

otherwise the tried and true ZZ4 for $3700 is the way to go.

Just remenber, whatever motor you buy additional money will be needed for other new parts and supplies. A good guess would be the cost of the motor plus addition $3000 (est). Been there and done it, and its not cheap.

Thank you! What motor did you go with? What are the costs going into? Wiring harnes ect.....

Went with 350 Crate rated at 285 hp with a Carb. Used the TPI and the top end from old 305. But spent money on runners, torque converter, catback exhaust, BW 9-bolt, and the list goes on and on.
