Crankcase hole Size???

What size is the crankcase hole? The tube that has the rectangular filter attached to it. I got an open element and want to put a push in breather filter in the hole in place of the tube. Car is an 83 Z

From: 51°N 114°W, 3500' elevation

Probably 1/2". Might be 5/8". Pull the tube out and measure the width.
