couple of thins i noticed during oil change
well i changed my oil today, i noticed a few wierd things, for one my drain plug got nice and snug , but not that ultimate tightness i would turn and it stayed tight but just spun around, felt like if i turned it anymore it was gonna pop and get loose again, i put a brand new ribbed oil drain plug gasket on thier , maybe thats why. who knows its not leaking or anything, yet, wondering about future oil changes, also i have those thick *** sprak plug wires and i bent the heat shieds out of the way so i could lube my header bolts, so i had to reroute my wires, if they lean against the the steering bar is this ok, dosent look liek they get caught on anything but just wondering, soaked 11 header bolts, impossible totally impossible to soak the 2nd to last bolt on the passanger side.
The wire should be fine since it's only going to be for a few days (till you get the headers on.) You wouldn't want it there permanently because the shaft would eventually rub through the insulation.
The drain plug should tighten up, and I can't see a new gasket causing it not to. It sounds like someone overtightened it once and stripped out half the threads. I'd get a new plug with a built-in thread chaser. You can get them at any given parts store for like $5. FWIW it doesn't have to be ultra-tight....just tight enough to compress the seal.

if thats all it has to be tightened to its fine. it really bothering me i cant lube that one last bolt, those bolts are looking good, they got that look like as soon as you put the wrench on there pop shell come right off, but looks can be decieving. i think headers will wake that motor right up, i think thatll be exactly what she needs. hopefully anyway, cant wait to run her this summer those 15.6 times are mad old last season old
Try taking the gasket out and turning it. You might as well drain the oil if you have just put it in. Keep the oil somewhere for reinstallation. If you are going to tap, make sure you have grease on the tap to trap as much of the shavingsa as possible.
