Couple questions on Spark plugs and lifter adj.

I finally pinpointed a problem on my neatly built little 355, I needed to replace my distributor. So I bought an MSD Pro-Billet and a new coil and matching wires, although they're blue... not Red so they really arent a very good match, anyway, Since I am replacing pretty much the entire ignition system with everything MSD including an MSD6AL box I was wondering a few things about spark plugs. I currently have an AFR195 headed 355ci L98. The Compression ratio is a flat 10.0:1 with Keith Black Hperutectic pistons. I currently have a set of AC Delco spark plugs in there that are 1 heat range colder than stock. I do notice though, that my motor takes a very long time to heat up. Usually I can get all the way to work (~15 minutes) and the car won't even get to 175* usually stays arounf 150-160* in we'll call it 70* weather. #1 I know that running a motor THAT cold probably isn't very cunducive to making power. Could having my plugs a heat range colder do this? Could it be zapping heat from the chamber too much to the point that its actually making the engine run colder? If so I'll revert back to the stock style plug. Also if none of this has any pertinence to cooling down the chamber please explain to me the purpose of a colder plug vs. a warmer plug.

Also, how do you adjust lash on Comp R lifters. Its time to readjust them and I'm doing it myself this time.

TIA

Re: Couple questions on Spark plugs and lifter adj.

All of your questions will be answered in a "Search". There have been numerous "Comp R lifter adjustment" and "spark plug selection" threads as of late.

Good luck.
