Correcting Speedometer

My dad is going to get some 4th gen rims for his 92 Z. What will he need to do to correct the speedometer?

There is a gear in the transmission that will have to be changed if its a Z28. If it is a 3rd gen Trans Am it could have an electric speedometer.

Don't necessarily have to change anything! It depends on the TIRE diameter. If you maintain the same overall dia., you don't need to change the gear.

You have to change the gears, even on the electric speedometer cars. Unless you plan to go to a 30+ inch tire or a 20 inch tire, a tire swap won't cut it.
