Re: code 43

I have gotten this code intermittently the last month or so. I think it's crappy overpriced gasoline. Kinda coincidental it started right when gas got out of this world expensive.

Re: code 43

yea could be...but yea it never threw the code b4 i rebuilt the engine...and b4 i rebuilt, my ignition was all messed up..the previous owner had no idea how to set it up...and i fixed it all. It said it the haynes manuel that if the knock sensor wasnt sending a signal...it would send this code...so i replaced it, and nothing happened <shrug>

Re: code 43

your ESC "might" be going south. also when checking did you check the E terminal that goes to the knock sensor? ya gotta run a wire down to the knock from the E terminal. i learned alot about this when i FINALLY figured out i had my knock sensor plug and fan switch plugs crossed up. the plugs are exactly the same design.
also when checking, be sure to wiggle the wire as you meeter it as thats a high heat area and will make wires brittle this causing the intermittant SES code.
