Code 34

I am getting a code 34 which is Mass-Air-Flow Sensor (signal voltage low). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get rid of this problem? I have a 87 Z28 w/305 TPI the car runs fine but am having a problem starting it when it is cold. The car seems like the auto/choke is not working. I know that the car does not have a auto/choke but that is what it is like. After the car runs for just a few minutes with me giving it some gas and it is just a little warm it idles just fine. The code keeps coming back even after I reset the computer.

I have had the cold runng prob on mine before and when it warms up its fine. It was the IAC valve that was bad and did ot set a code, but as for the MAS, try disconnecting it and reconnecting, maybe a loose connection, it that doesn't work, check and see if the filament wires are broken, if not try swapping in someone elses to see if it goes away and works fine, if so it'll cost you a few bucks for a new one because MAS aren't cheap, so be sure its bad before u buy.

I have the same prob, getting that code. But I am going ahead with my speed density swap and will be doing away with the MAF all together.
