clutch Ques.

I have an 89 Iroc with a 5speed t-5, im buying a new clutch from summit i was wondering if this clutch is any good. RAM Muscle Car Clutch Sets
Clutch Kit, Organic, 1 1/ 8 in. Diameter Shaft, 26-Spline, 10.5 in. Diameter Disc, Chevy, Small Block, Kit??

unless you racing and such a stock replacement will do. im using a stock simi upgrade from advance made bt ZOOM and it does pretty well.
the more performance clutches tend to grab more (obviously) and will chatter on reg street duty and makes the car a bear to drive.

It's only a 10.5" organic, shouldn't be that bad??

i dont know about the organic part but anything of decent quality non re man will do the job. i personally like the borg brute force clutches but havent been able to find one round here. good pedal feel, no chatter and bites good enough for harder than avg play.
the stock repl zoom from advance should do the trick.

the thing that i found with the high performance slutches is that the stock hydrolics tend to get worn out quicker if you are using a "high clamp" pressure plate. I went back to stock since I got sick of the friction point being at the floor
