Had some new bests at the track the other night, best slip looked like this

This was on a pretty crappy night, DA was 6100ft and it was 33*C. The sad thing is it was bracket racing, i dialed in a 15.10 and had just blown the doors off a honda so I lifted with about 200ft left. Corrected for altitude it would have been 14.20 @ 97.4MPH. I was very happy with that run though, it was the first time Ive gotten a 14. So what does everyone think? Only mods I have are whats listed in the sig.

thats damn good if your running stock 2.73's or 3.08's or whatever....congrats man

 

stock gears, i THINK they are 3.23s, but i could be wrong

Times look good man, that should give ya more insight for your goals of a 14.0 that you have. Shouldn't be long now, good run man. I would imagine it would have been a hair better if you hadn't lifted as well....did you get knocked out that round for running so far off from your dial? Sounds like you probably might have.

no i didnt get knocked out, the honda even broke out he dialed in a 18.45 and ran 18.15. The honda didnt taste very good, i had to wash my mouth out with a 02 WS6 the next round

EDIT: i just checked the RPO's i have 3.27s with posi, whats that mean? im assuming its not true posi and is just limited slip, what is the "performance" one you mentioned?

 

thats the best stock gearing you can get in a thirdgen i believe, other than the 3.45 9 bolts...but yea its limited slip 3.27 gear ratio...get some 3.73's and you could knock a few more tenths off...

you beat an 02 ws6? now thats impressive..

 

yeah i beat an 02, BUT this was bracket racing, and ive got this stuff down pretty good...usually...

im going to buy a stealth ram from a guy i know either today or tomorrow and hopefully have it on by saturday. Ill let everyone know how that goes.

 

The performance one means it's the optioned gears. Like i have stock gears that are 2.73's, but if i saw maybe GU6 and G92, then i'd know that it was given the optioned gear of 3.42. and incase you didn't know, limited-slip is a posi-unit. just different names.

 

well i bought the stealth ram today but its painted sunset orange and my cars black so im going to get it bead blasted before it goes on.

myshibby, i know its a posi, but its not TRUE posi. and usually when i hear posi i think more of a locker rear where both tires spin at the same rate at all times
