Checking fuel pressure on a carbureator and a problem with my car.

Ok, my car has decided to start missing for a breif second when i give it hard gas, or when im going up a hill with a load on the engine. First thing i want to do is check the fuel pressure. It had a tuneup 3k miles ago , so i doubt anything there is the problem. timing is dead on when i checked it, so my only thoughts left is that something is up with the fuel pressure, or the computer controlled quadrajet is crap, which i plan on ditching soon anyway. How do i go about checking the pressure accurately on a carb, i never did it on one. So, when i say it has a quick miss, its kinda like a pop sound, then it picks up. Could the timing chain still be bad even though it checked out good with a test light? One other thing, a few days ago i found the clamp loose on the fuel inlet line to the pump, so i tightend it up, and sloved that problem, but even after wards it still missed, and even idled rough for a while, but cleared up after a while. Anyone else expierence this with their 3rd gen carbed birds and camaros? It really annoys me, so i quit driving it for now, cause theres nothing more i hate than driving a car that is missing. Thanks guys and gals.
