I know headers arent all that cheap, but it makes a world of difference. The exhaust all together brougt my Iroc to a whole new level, then the extras really add up.

I have been told that getting new shocks can really help.

Check my sig.

Other mods that help a lot are porting of the intake pieces of the TPI and also the heads.

Other than that kind of stuff really there is nothing thats very inexpensive. When you dive into the motor is when you will start to see some huge gains.

This year I am shooting for 12's. My existing combo plus 2.02 1.60 ported stockers and a Stealth Ram should get me damn close.

Remove the MAF screens by cutting the plastic around the circumference where they attach and they will come off in one piece.

I ran air ducts to my filter boxes using 8" adjustable furnace ducting elbows(painted black) to the rear of my fog lamps. I had to cut some of the plastic divider to get them in, and removed the air box assembly for easy access.

Rlocated the MAT(IAT) to the air filter lid where the flat circle is already there where they put them on the 2.8L Camaro's kinda above the fan on the passenger side of the lid. All you need is a drill roughly the size of the sensor-minus the threads, a pipe plug for the old hole and a couple of feet of extention wire with 2 "butt" connectors. Maybe add some loom to dress it up a little.

Bypass the throttle body with the coolant lines. I bought a long piece of the same size hose and bypassed the 2 short pieces attached to the T/B and removed them. I've found out that it is neccessary to reverse this mod in the winter here or the T/B will ice up and it will idle high!!!

Port the plenum:
Grind down the wall just behind the throttle plates(butterfly)It'll take a while, it's big.

Advance the timing to 10-12*BTDC.

I was told some good starter things to do.
-good spark plugs & wires
-premium distributor cap & roter
-electric fan
-remove AC (thats what windows are for )
-new hoses/belts
-Zmax! LOL it's good

Every little bit counts! lol
These may not give your car a huge boost but it surprisingly it can help, and like in my case, it gave my camaro a crazy boost in power. Then again the guy I bought it from never maintenanced the car

An '89 Iroc has a hydraulic roller camshaft. The cams are way more that $160. Figure at LEAST $250 for a cam and then the new valve springs that will be needed to complete the install.

is it true that the biggest spacer under your carburetor also helps add some HP?
