carb question

Just a quick Q. Is there any performance difference between a 750 cfm manual choke and an electric chock? ANother is what would you guys recommend for a 750 Carb. Iwas looking at an edelbrock performer.
Thanks
Chris

No. It's just a matter of whether the choke is activated by a cable manually or by a temperature sensitive spring automatically.

Automatic chokes are so much more convenient for a daily-driven car, although you will have to adjust it slightly in most cases to really "dial it in" for best running for the first few minutes after a cold start.

Yeh I have an 750 Edlebrock Manual choke and I wish I would of gone with the electric but the manual was much cheaper. I have to tinker with mine all the time especially during cold starts. Kind of annoying Go with an electric if your lazy

Just thought I'ed throw this out there. If you read the specs on Edelbrocks carbs the man. choke carbs say calibrated for performance and the elect. choke versions say calibrated for economy.

Let me find my owners manual for a Edelbrock carb and see what's different between the man. and elect. choke as far as rods or springs or ? and I'll post it for a performer 750.
