TPI, but I not sure if you could get a HO Qjet set-up or not. Someone will get on and correct me in a sec.

I think that only 71 or something (this is probably the wrong figure, i could verify later) had the L69 HO carbed engine in 1986 making it a somewhat rare car. Too bad there not actually worth any more money than any of TPI cars of 86. I'll check that figure out if i have time later and get back to you.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this, there were actually 74 L69 HO cars in 86. Ahh i was close, only off by 3. the LB9 was the sought after enigne in 86' and a lot of cars had it,

You could get LG4, LB9 in 86. The LG4 was avail through 87. After that TBI replaced carb. Even then though, you could still order an LO3 for your IROC, although I dont know why you would want to when the L98 was such a good motor! TPI was never the only option for irocs of any year, maybe with the exception of 90, but i think LO3 was still an option for that year....

TBI only replace carbs in the RS which came out regionally in 87 i belive, maybe 88, Z28s never had TBI they had TPI 305s in the manuals and 350s in the autos.

Ya I was going to say...... I have seen them before and have pics and what not. It was an option, just like the LG4 was the base Z28 motor from 82-87....... Thanks for the info Dave!
