Car turning but not starting

Ok, guys im having trouble with my 91 tbi 350. I replaced the manifold and the tbi 4 a ported tbi and manifold. Ok the car turns it was popping when i would try to start it so I check the wires and the were off so i corrected it. It would still pop and do the same. So I swithed aroung the wire on the coil connector to c if that was the problem. The car would stop popping and just turn but if I turned it long enough it would spit fuel up. The wires im talking about are the connectors that conect from the distubutor to the coil the plastic snaps broke on them so i may have had them backwards so thats why I switched it. They are dual connectors Both have 1 white wire and one pink wire. The connector from the distubutor is smaller gauge wire then the on that runs from the computer. If someone could please help me out i would apprciate it. The car turned on fine last week when I already swapped the manifold and TBI!!!!!!!1

The car ran fine initally when you put it together or it never ran after you put it back together.
Thanks

Re: Car turning but not starting

the car ran fine when i put it together but i had a leak in the maniflod so i pulled it off and put new gaskets on it again and sealed everthing up good. I show the dist. rotor to a buddy and he said it was bad so i replaced it today ad still the same. What I was told 2 do is set the car at TDC and out the entire distribuator back and but how do i fine TDC without a copression gauge and the timing marks R worn out on the crank pulley!

Re: Car turning but not starting

not sure if this will help or not, but I had same problem this past week.....and it turned out to be the Ignition module in the distributor. I shorted it out with my coil/ignition box pack, so I replaced it and took the box set it off and it worked. Now I had to get a MSD 6AL box instead of the crane fireball.....ne ways check or replace the module and see if that helps. If the wires to the coil are messed up like you said....maybe you shorted ur module out as well
