Car Seems Sluggish Lately..
I am not sure what it is but the car just seems slow to me. I haven't raced it at the track yet so I am not sure if its just me or my imagination. The last time I was at the track I was running 15.7's which is very bad since I have run 15.1's before and that was about 3 months ago. I thought maybe my fuel filter was just plugged (which it was) but it even feels slower now. Think my fuel pump is starting to go bad on me?
I gave it a full tune up, new plugs, fuel filter, did the K&N cleaning, my wires are still good and my fuel pressure is at 11psi and the plugs are a perfect tan. I know my valve seals are going bad cause at cold starts I get a small cloud of greyish smoke. The car has 119,000 miles on it. Think its old age is just showing? This is my mod list.

Hey, have you ever used the GM Top Engine Cleaner? I just used it on my 305 TPI. It was like a tune up in a can. It costs about $6.00 a can. You pour it down the carb and flood your motor so it stops. Let it sit 15 minutes. Then restart, and pour the rest down the carb at high idle. It really cleans out the system. My throttle response and idle are much better now.

No but I might try it out.
I always use Mobil 1 synthetic oil on my car and AC Delco oil filter every 3,000 miles so I imagine my internals are pretty clean but my intake may be dirty inside.

Eric,
Get a fuel pressure gauge with a long hose. Hook it up and tape it to the windshield. Watch what it does at WOT. If the pressure drops u need a fuel pump. If it doesn't look elsewhere.
