Well, I've got a 3 day weekend for memorial day coming up so I'll check things out then and see what I can see under the dash so check back after memorial day and I'll give an update. I drove the car again today and still no problems. Again I'm very sure it will come back.

Well, I looked the car over this weekend including under the dash at the wires and found nothing. Now the car dies out at around 35 mph when the gas pedal is lightly pushed. If the gas pedal is depressed half way or more there is no problem only when babying the car. This new problem started before I started to look at things so I know I did not bump or move a wire to cause this problem.

as silly as this is gonna sound, go waaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere and set your cruz. if you can safely wiggle wires as you drive.

also, make sure your bulkhead is firmly plugged in at the firewall in the eng bay area.

This may sound stupid but I had a similar problem and it was the engine power wire connector right near the battery. I had disconnected the wire for some reason and when I plugged it in didn't lock. It looked connected but every once in a while on a hill or giving it gas quickly it would die. Good luck

Never thought of the bulkhead connector. I'll check it out!

I'll also check this out to but give me a few days to get back with info. This car is not a daily driver and only gets about 2000 miles a year on it, but I'm determined to fix it no matter how long it takes. It's nice to see some people like quickchicken is following me even though it's taking me a while to post results.

Well, I've been driving the car alot more lately now that my other formula is not running right ( see other post ). I swapped the battery with my other formula and now I'm not having any problems with this car shutting off when the gas is pressed all the way to the floor with the headlights on. When I get the other car running right I will see the the problem swapped to the other car. Who knows it could have been a bad battery. Seems kind of strange to me that a battery would do what it did.
