I put the car in reverse and a few seconds later while in reverse the car died. I tried several times to start it and nothing. I did adjust the fuel pressure several times. I did adjust the timing but only got 1 back fire out of it. Why would the car die in reverse and not start again? What could be the problem

Oh, and the car is in park.

 

Start with the basics....five bucks says that the Park/Netrual switch still thinks that the 700 is still in reverse...I would check this out with a scan-tool just to make sure.

Then go and make sure that you have spark and fuel. If the car ran good up untill the time it stopped working your timing and fuel psi are good. use a dVOM or a check light and make sure the coil has power and that there is spark toggle. Also make sure your injectors work.
