Car Broken Down!
Couple of questions for you there
when you try to start the car does it try to turn over but will not?
Or does it not want to even try to turn over?
Couple things you might want to check is: If it does not want to turn over it could be the Starter or the Alt.
Or you might also want to check to see if the Fuel pump (which is in your tank) is trying to go when you are trying to start the car. Easy way to do this is have someone stand next to the gas tank while you try to start the car if they are hearing a noise from the tank then the fuel pump should be in working order. Also Check your fuel filter its under the drivers door. it may be clogged.

I would say check the fuses if you have a new battery, let us know man how you make out
An easy way to tell as long as it's the stock engine..
if the eighth digit (letter) in your VIN number is..
"F" = LB9
"E" = LO3
and you could also have an LG4 maybe..
"H" = LG4

IT STARTED THIS MORNING! a guy at my work said it could be the cylanoid in the started that cyndrical thing next to the engine towards the bottom. so i went to a mechanic and he says that could be it. cause the battery and evreything else in there are fairly new. so it only just doesnt start if it gets too warm...guess i should only drive to work from now on. lol. at least untill i get paid. if anyone knows what else it could be email me at voltron182@hotmail.com
Make sure the battory cables are clean and tight on the battery and the engine block every third gen that i've owned has given me problems like this that usauly turns out to be a bad connection. Also next time it wont crank turn the lights on and see if they are bright, if there bright you probly have a good connection, and you can try gently tapping the starter with the handle of a hammer while someone else turns the key, this can free up a sticking solenoid
AHHHH i cant believe i didnt think of that im retarted. Yes id almost guarantee its your solenoid. The problem in our cars is called "heat soak" The solenoid is so close to the engine and our cars run so hot that the solenoid stops functioning. Your options include....there is supposed to be a heat sheild around the starter. If there isnt one anymore (they do fall off sometimes) then you can replace it but many people say it does jack all. Your other option is to buy a remote starter solenoid which you position i "think" somewhere in your dash thirdgen.org has a tech article how to put the solenoid in. Also a real good excuse to put in a push button starter just for fun
But id be willing to bet dollars to pay its the solenoid.

that is what everyone has been telling me but i just wish it was cheaper than 160 to replace. lol. i have to get a new starter and the other thing. If anyone knows how to install it and know where to get it cheap and lives close to me PLEASE HELP MYSELF lol.
