can somebody walk me thru this window motor install

can somebody walk me thru this window motor install

i drilled 4 rivets out that where attatched to the door. no i got the motor stuck on some sissor looking thing, and i slid it back twoards me and i cant see how to get that motor off of thier, whats the next step.

so now im screwed, i drilled the motor of the scissor looking ppiece a spring went flying and now i cant get that scissor piece out of the door , what do i do next anyone ever do these motors before , assistance would be apprectiated.

The scissor mechanism is what actually lifts the window. You'll need to unbolt it from the glass and it's a bit of a pain to wiggle out of there. You have to get it just right. Good luck man.

well it just slid off the tracks no unbolting its just laying looose in there now, but my hand is ace warpped up tonight after i got back from the hospitol fromlast weeks stitches(never healed right) so if i want to drive this car i have to bring it to a shop to get fixed cause my hands so fat i cant fit it in the window, whats this gonna cost is it a big deal ya think

Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours of labor. Less than 150.00 I would think.

made an apointment today, 60$ i dont think they no the spring popped out i think they charge me more.

$60 is a great price. I called around my area for quotes and it was around $200-300

yeah but mine is half apart before i hurt my hand, plus i didnt tell them the spring popped out, there gonna see it and charge me more i bet

actually, once the regulator is out of the door, all it takes is a pair of vise grips and a strong mechanic

all done took them 2 hours, they had absolutley no parts, they lost the bolts i bought, i had to go walk to get them rivets, but they rivited it back in and its all set, just need some new interior pieces and im set. some inside and outside window sweepers.
