Removed smog pump years ago and want to get a 1LE A/C delete pulley and bracket... can I make this work if there is no smog pump for belt to catch on??? then there would be no accessories on that bracket?? what would the belt ride on on that side??? Anyone know????

 

That's the whole porpuse of the delete pulley....it lets you remove the compressor while keeping an idler pulley on the bracket for the belt to ride on.

 

Its just used to bypass A/C compressor! Maybe free up a few ponies!!! Dont use my ac, so I just want to bypass it... bypassed smog pump and could tell it helped a little.... Every little bit helps!!! Anyone know if GM made any more serpentine belt setups for camaro's with no AC???? Did all V-8 camaros with serpentine belt drive come with A/C??

 

Or the delete pulley/bracket. one option that came without A/C was the 1LE, hence, the "1LE A/C delete pulley"

 

I had just remember seeing my ex girlfriends 89 RS V6 and it didnt come with A/C. It was just a standard camaro, though..Just wondering if any other cars besides 1LE's didnt have A/C??? So all non 1LE cars came with A/C???
