cams n' stuff

hello everyone, i'm new here & i love it! i have a question i hope
you can help me with. i realize the computer on my 83 Z28 isn't as
sophisticated as with the newer ones, but how will using a hotter
cam effect my computer? what mods will be needed? what's the
biggest cam i can run and still maintain acceptable vacuum? and is the CFI woth keeping or should i put a carb on it?
thanks for any help you can give!

CFI is not fun to hotrod. No parts. Nobody to burn you a custom chip to compensate for a bigger cam, higher flowing heads, etc.

Most people eventually give up and stick a carb on it and hotrod from there.

I think there's a website somewhere dedicated to hotrodding the CFI system, but you're in real rare company.
