There's a guy here that owns a NICE white TTA, and all it ever does is sit in front of the gas station he owns. I don't think it's moved more than 3 or 4 times in the last year. So tragic.....

almost every nice car has another car that looks exactly like it. the camaro and firebird, the cuda and charger, and the mustang and couger. i havent seen another car try to copy the corvette though.

 

Pontiac Banshee, I saw a 1 of 2 prototype looked exactly like the corvette of the time save it was made out of steel not fiberglass so it would be like 40% cheaper. GM shut the project down because they didnt want it to kill the corvettes sales, or hurt its prestige

 

your right, did they ever release the banshee? that thing is sweet!

 

No not the ont that looked like a Corvette. They made another prototype in the late 80's or early 90's that a few people might have gotten ahold of, but it was all concept it looked more like a radical LT1 F-body than anything. I had a hot-wheel of one

 

I seen the hotwheel of the one, and the one i seen on the internet looked like a futuristic farari. Well i geuss someone did try to copy the corvette. so basically for every successful car there is going to be a replicate of it by another company. obviously pontaic tried to replicate the camaro with the firebird LOL.

 

For thirdgens, Camaros look better. Fourthgens, I don't really like until 98+, then I'd have to say transams look better. But there is something about a lowered SS black or nbm that looks so sweet.

As far as the better car...that's preference. There pretty much the same thing.

 

someone told me today that a stock transam would smoke a stock z28, and i was shoked. does anyone know what both cars run on the 1/4 out of the factory, and how much horsepower they both have stock? i always thought they were about the same performance wise, though i always thought the camaros looked alot better.

 

I think it really depends on the car, some of them are just faster from the factory for no aparent reason. Ive seen freak stock 305's that would own a 350 from the same year car.

 

Diff years came with diff horse power.

But most of the time the camaro was allowed to breath better so it tend to get better hp

 

well i have an 85 z28 right now, and at the time i got it my friend got a 2001 trans am. i knew at the time that his car was faster than mine. though, now that i am putting a brand new 350 in it along with headers and flowmasters i am betting that i will beat him on the drag strip. but for the most part arn't transam's and z28's about the same out of the factory???

 

Depends on what kind of intake system you go with. Im not sure who I would bet on at this point

 

yeppers all but the Nose, fenders,hood, headlights & the rear bumber covers & lights

 

i dont know about you guys but i dislike the interior on the 3rd gen trans ams, dont get me wrong the exterior is bad ***.......as long as the headlights arnt up, ha
