Well since I own a Camaro my vote might be biased I love the looks of the 91-92 Camaro the best and 4th gen birds with ram air hoods.

I don't know about performance, but Camaros look better IMO, in all generations. Even tho I DO own a Camaro, I'm not bias because of it, I have always liked Camaros better than Trans Ams

I think the camaro is a better car in every generation, besides the 4rth. i think when they changed body styles the trans am with the ram air hood is better looking car.

It really depends on the year range IMO.

67-69 Camaro
70-77 Firebird
78-82 Tie
82-92 Camaro
93-96 Camaro
97-present Firebird

well the 3rd gens they are def. the same car & same with most of the 4th gens. Even though the Camaros can out perform the Trans ams due to the fact that the 350 Zs have less air flow restirctions on them then the 350 T/A.

first gens they are not the same car.

Well, since I owned a '67 Firebird/400 and my dad owned a '68 SS396 I'd say they were distinctly different but virtually alike. But I'd have to go with:
'67-'71 Camaro's/Z's/SS's. (I liked the split bumpers, my cuz had one.)
'72-'77 Firebirds(especially the 400's and 455-SD's)
otherwise same as Dart Iroc.
The New Ram Air T/A is one b@d @ss work of art!

This is amazing people are agreeing with me.

And I would also like to add that 70-73 is also a tie I love them both.

From '82 and up neither is really any different, so it just depends on which one you prefer the looks or interior or what not.

Oh and LS1 Firebirds and Camaros debuted in '98 not '97.
