I have been a steady reader on this site since december when I picked up my first camaro. its an 89 RS 2.8 5 speed. So far iv'e been puttin it back in order with the help of these posts, but twice I have been stuck because my car wont start. Coincidently both times I drove it in the rain and left it sit for a couple hours. I turn the key and everything comes on except the starter. Gave it a shove, got home shut it off and turned the key on again and it fired right off.

So thanks in advance for any thoughts or ideas.

 

sounds like coisidence maybe your starter is starting to go bad..

 

Check the bat. cables for corrosion. Both ends of both cables.
