If you mean the quarter panel, which is sometimes called a rear fender, but really known as a quarter, they cut the old one off and weld the new one on......

The 1/4 panel from Car Quest I'm sure is not and original GM so don't expect a nice fit. While the rear looks like it is one piece, if you would strip all the paint off the roof/quarter panel area, you would see a goldish looking seam. That is where the roof and 1/4 panels are electrically brazed together from the factory. So the answer to the one piece rear end is no, it is not one piece.

Ok, but i just wanted to change both rear fender, cause both side were redone by jobbers, and they are not identical, there is one side that the fender is more larger than the other side, i just want my car to look identical for both side.

$125 Canadian is like what, $70 or $75 American? That's WAY too cheap for a full 1/4 panel. That sounds like it's a partial piece, which usually consists of the wheel well opening and some material around it. Most of these are known as "repair" panels and are designed to go right OVER the stock panels. They are cheap but they obviously aren't correct.

A "repair" panel is designed to replace the metal that's there, which requires that you cut out the section, weld the new piece in, then smooth the transition area over by grinding & filling.

Both types of panels require you to know what you're doing. If you're not a skilled mig welder and skilled at body work, it's going to look like a botched abortion. Just make sure you know what you're getting into.

If they are as good as you say, then you should be ok. But just remember, as other posters stated - it will take a skilled bodyman to weld and grind those panels on so that it looks factory.
