well first off, hello.. i have been trolling around the forum wearing the hell out of the search.

lots of useful info, and what appears to be pretty honest helpful group. soon to my story.

i actually got my 1st thirdgen sunday, drove it all the way home from ocala florida to orlando (about 2 hour drive) drove perfect, for an 88 vert w/factory suspension and 3slow5. but i was happy, i see through the mounds of rust and the crappy winny8.

so i am driving around, showing off my new beauty (with busted nose, and tons of rust) happy with the world. well on the way back home from autozone, well.... go, go, hammer go pedel down.. no go? the poor 700R4 has given up on living. by that time i have owned the thing for less then 6 hours.

Later: me and my brother are pushing the thing home,and some dude comes up and offered my bro, 1500 for the car.. i was half temped, but my bro (fellow 3rd gen'er) talked me out of it.

so needless to say, I am getting a th350 to jam into it. OD is so over rated and i am thinking after a few chassis mods to strenthen it up i will be popping a 350 into her.

moral of the story, don't pee on the sofa.. and get a better paying job

Same exact thing happend to me after I bought a car from ebay last year.

 

Reverse is good. You can still outrun Honduhs.

Why are you pushing it home if you have reverse

 

cuz, I seem to have enough problems with local PD without giving them more reason to bitch.. that and reverse showed up at home

 

She's got definite potential. I always did love the look of the 'verts....I just wish they were a little less flexy.



Oh and the issue with the pics is Tripod...not you. They don't like remote hosting so you have to copy/paste to get to the pics.
