No, cause the only electronic speedos that would work are in '90+ Camaro's or previous years' T/As. Either that or get aftermarket gauges. IMO, that is tacky.

They make the Cable X box because people want to retain their stock gauges, like me.

What are you talking about? Are you just not getting it or what? The Cable X box allows you to run a cable driven speedometer with an electronic transmission.

Can you just not grasp that or what?

Cripes...it's not even worth trying to describe to you anymore.

LT1Powered85Z: How long have you had yours running for? Any problems. I'm just worried about the motor burning out.

Whats the warranty on that thing like. Is it somehting like a year warranty or a certain milage?

You can't buy the tail housing from JTR (Jags That Run), they no longer make it. BUT...Abbott Tach makes the Cable X box, which I have.

I haven't had mine installed for very long...so I can't speak in reference to the longevity of it. I don't know about the warranty...I bought it used, although it was "New" and never previously used.

jeebus that box is expensive

I might just plan on doing my custom gauges at the same time as doing the t-56 swap (much further down the road) so i can buy all my gauges and just get an electronic speedo
