a/c deletion
Its not as much as 70lbs. Mine came to a total of 24lbs. Thats brackets, lines, condenser, compressor and the rad. The smog pump is belt driven off the crank pulley. If the emissions are ok after you remove the belt you can take the pump off and save another 8lbs. So about 32lbs off the front, two less pulleys to drive and a cleaner looking engine bay.
i still wouldnt take out the A/C... your giving up comfort for horse power and you're really not pushing enough hp to be concidered "fast"... i'd just keep it on man, you'll regret taking it off when summer comes around
well i guess i was wrong in quoting that 70 lb mark for the a/c system, i actually read that on this pages project car for the 8 second teal Z28, i can understand your thinking i should keep it on but i have gotten used to not using it since my old cars a/c was busted, i just roll down the windows and let it be. but even so i have time before i need to do that, the serious work wont start for while, i mean hell i still have to get the car running properly, that stuff is just secondary.
thanks guys
