Arrow BW 5 speed

I need help, 4th gear went out of my 5 speed and i have another one but it came out of an 89 rs v6, i think that there is a flywheel that will bolt onto my 305. What i was told that as long as the flywheel and tranny was out of the new style motor like from 86 or above that it would work. My question is will it for sure?

Thanks

The flywheel isn't the concern. You need to use your V8 flywheel & pressure plate, but a V6 clutch. I would also reccomend that you never go past 1/2 throttle or above 3,000 rpm if you don't want to break the V6 transmission within the first 5 minutes. Those v6 transmissions are weak and you're going to break it in no time.

i tried the same swap v8 bellhousing, pressure plate, and a s-10 cluch disc with the 87 v6 tranny it worked fine if you drove like grandma, although every four burnouts i was replacing a cluch disc, where one of the springs came out.

Yeah like lowiroc-z said the manual parts for those rs's came from the other GM 2.8 L applications of the time. It wont hold up over time. You would be better off trying to get one from www.thirdgenresource.com or going to a junk yard.
