Burning a chip or buying one?

I am debating weather to have a chip burnt from fastproms for $350 or if I should just burn my own. It would be a little bit cheaper and if i do more mods I can edit the chip. Anyone burn their own and have recommendations? Thanks.

Burning your own is the best way to go, if you have the time and patience to learn how to do it. It's not exactly something you can just jump into though....it takes practice to get a feel for the parameters and the way different things affect each other.
