Budget TPI combo....
A friend of mine wants to use my car as a test mule to showcase an engine package that he will offer to his customers(please don't ask who it is or what company because I can't tell you until its all done ). At this point its in the conception stage and we are trying to pin it all down before ripping the car apart. I also have to have the trans gone thru at the same time so different stall speed is also an option.
Heres the combo:
Stock short block, crank, pistons, rods, etc.
-Vortec Iroc heads 1.94/1.50 valves.Decked for higher compression. Approx. 10:1. Casting flash cleaned up and springs to handle up to .550 lift installed
-Vortec TPI base manifold from Scoggin-Dickey
-Arizona Speed&Marine runners (so it stays with the stock look )
-Ported and port matched plenum
-52mm TB w/ custom cold air pipe
-24lb. Injectors
-Cam still not sure but will be matched to TPI power range.
-1.5 RR's
-1 5/8's stainless long tube headers with 3 1/2" single exhaust, single outlet muffler
-Custom PROM burned specifically for combo
With the planned mods we are hoping for a mid to low 12 second car and even better on spray.
Again, this is a guinea pig for a package that will be offered and installed in customers 3rd gens.

Mods: 2300-2500 Stall Converter, Shift Kit(GM parts), TPI Specialties Stage 3 PROM, Modified airbox w/ K&N's, Relocated MAT sensor, Gutted MAF, 160* thermostat, MSD 6A, Accel 8mm Wires, bypassed TB coolant, 3" Flowmaster 3 chamber single outlet, custom adjustable cutout, 3" MAC mandrel intermediate, airfoil, ported plenum. !smog, Crane AFPR, Accel rail mounted FP gauge, Harlan shiftlite, 24lb. injectors, Hedman headers, a few others I forgot...??? FINALLY GOT PAINT!!
