braking noises

When I'm driving at a normal speed or backing out and come to stop my front end starts to make a crunching noise. When I let up off the brakes the crunching stops. Does anyone have the same problem? Or does anyone know what it is and how I can fix it? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Did you replace the pads recently? Could be just pad meterial.

Do you get any clunking sounds over pumps on the road. If so, The caliper may be loose.

There really is a lot of things that could be wrong. I'd say your best bet is to take your brakes apart and put back together to make sure everything is were it's supposed to be.

If the noise doesn't go away move onto the suspension. Mounts, bushings, struts etc.

Happy hunting and Good luck!

The good thing is theses cars are easy to work on!!

BTW... Welcome !!
