I'm lookin' for a catback for my 3rd gen ('90 bird)...lookin' at Borla, it looks like they give you a bunch of little pipes and a $HITload of U clamps for the Thirdgen kit...4th Gen LTx kit is a LITTLE less, but has better tips...

Does anyone know what the diff. between the two kits are? Will 4th gen work on 3rd? Some guys say it bolts right up, others say they gotta mod a bunch of it.

Also, why doesn't Borla make one continuous I pipe and axle pipe eliminating all the seperate interconnects?

 

I just bought a borla cat-back for my 87 iroc. I bought the kit for the 3rd gen#14888. Yes there is a lot of little parts,but it is well made. The only problem that i had was bolting it up to the cat, but i had a aftermaket y-pipe and converter.. The sound is awsome. If you have any questions just pm me. Shane
