hello again all.
maybe some one can help.I have an 88 305 tpi with really bad blow by...if i eplace the breather cap with a solid cap it will bloww oil out of my dipstick.
Now it just gathers in the breather and drips over..
any help would be good...

The only real cure is a ring job. Wrap a good thick rag around the bottom of the breather to soak up the oil and start savin cash for a rebuild, or get to work on that 383 in your sig. Whatever you do DON'T try to seal it up so the oil won't blow out. All that'll do is force the pressure to blow out a mainseal and then it won't even be driveable.

LOL I was hopeing someone had a tamp solution for this, I just broke a ring the other day. I moroso valve covers with the litte breather on the side and smoke billows out of there. Bought a compression tester to see which piston(s) it is and fix it but havent had the time yet.
