you will need to find a 350 chip, and change injectors to 22 lbs or 24 lbs if you cant find the 22s.

The blocks will interchange. U will need a throttle body from a 5.7 truck 92 and down. Swapping a 350 in place of a 305 makes the engine run dangerously lean. Pistons melt down on some cases if u dont fix the lean problem. i have done a few swaps and they run ok with a 350 throttle body. Perfect time to change the manifolds to headers and make a real power difference

1987 was the last year for a carb. 1988-1992 it switch to the TBI. When you say you have FI which one. TBI or TPI. TBI is fuel injection and if you can find a firebird formula with TBI or TPI it will say fuel injection on the hood. One of my formulas is TBI and says fuel injection on the hood.

Has already stated it does have injectors . Only two in stead of 9 . I'm working on a 86 tpi right now . I swapped out the 305 for 350 so I will find out what needs to be changed and what don't . The one thing I have found is you ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers on what needs changed .
Hope your swap goes well . Keep us posted .

Don't try to confuse people with the 9 injector theory. Not all tpi's had the ninth injector. My 89 firebird and 91 camaro does not have the cold start injector. It was also stated by the thread poster that he did not have injectors.

Sorry, I didn't know it confused people ! What do you call the two things that's mounted in the throttle body then?

the TBI system has 2 injectors, the TPI system has 8 injectors and the 85-88 years had the 9th injector or otherwise known as the cold start injector. 89-92 did not have this.
