Big Plans, Need input

I will soon be receiving a free, yes, free 327 from a guy I know. My thoughts were to buy a high mileage Iroc and take the 305 out and use the tpi. The reason for this is so I can make decent power and still have some gas mileage. Just a few questions to answer.

327 is bored .060 over so I will need oversized pistons

Is TPI the way to go? If so,
52mm or 58mm TBs?
Injectors?
Heads? I would have 305, 327 and 350 heads available or buy new heads?
Cam?
Exhaust I will worry about if this thing become reality!

this is such a common topic that you really should just search.

58 mm is way to high for the low horsepower your running.

it all depends on money, sure a stock tpi will work decent but rob you from power that more money would have givven you.

i'm not sure how 327's work but i would assume a ported 305 head of some sort.

i take it your getting the "block" for free and not a 327 full assembly then.

if money isn't an option go with a miniram and a accel speed density dfi to make her all run good. figure on roughly 3500 for that setup though.

you'll probably be geared more towards a stealth ram setup. good luck with it. engines are expensive and you need more than just the engine to make it work and not break parts left and right.
