ACC makes the best, any color you want. There is a company on Ebay that sells front/rear setup for 199.99 or 249.99, I forget, but either way its the best carpet out there for a good deal. Classic industries sucks ***. They have prices in their mag that has been outdated for months. I was gonna order a weather strip kit advertised for 200.00, and this is the most current mag, and they tell of well, GM puts out a new parts price list every months and this and that, end of story, it was gonna cost me 400.00 bucks to redo my weather strip.

Use ebay, they wont fÜck you on that, I have used that same company for door weather stripping, got here ina couple days and it looks great!

BTW that company sells ACC, just to clarify.

Type in camaro 82-92 and you will see it on one of the pages of parts. Or try 82-92 carpet, I never tried that

But I am converting my Tan int to black, so I too am gonna go that way, also for headliner and whatever else I need.

Yeah, ACC makes good stuff. I bought my carpet from them in 2001 and it still looks brand new with many miles of use. I ordered mine through some company in Connecticut I believe, just go to ACC's website. It should tell you.

The only problem I had while installing was there were a few places, like next to the backseats, where the carpet bunched up a little but it still looks fine. If someone knows how to get rid of that please tell me, I'd be appreciative.

The great thing about ACC is it comes ready to put in, you only have to cut holes for the shifter and the seat brackets, easily done. I think I paid like 140 for mine(just the front, no trunk carpet).

Good luck,
Kyle

i paid 290 for both front and back with the extra needed to redo the center console; direct from ACC. definately worth it although i could have ordered the same stuff through jcwhitney and save at least 100.

ACC is a great way to go when the carpet is concerned though, it is practicly form fitted much like the original and it was so nice and thick i didn't have to use any additional padding. triming for the center console is necessary even if you get the optional cutout as well as the sides need to be cut a little for proper fitment....nothing to hard or extreme.

took me 15 hours fit to finish to remove, sand and refinish the floor, and reinstall the new carpet and 4thgen leather.

as far as the carpet bunching or binding....the only way to cure that is to heat up the carpet and mold it into place; i still have to do some finish work to mine as well; i plan to just use a normal heatgun applied to the back to loosen it up a bit and put it in place. this is one of the reasons the company tells you to lay the carpet out in the sun for awhile....the heat gun works alot more efficient though. just don't overdo it.

Sweet, that heatgun trick sounds like something I should have tried a long time ago! I'll try using one tomorrow when I'm doing some other touchups around the interior. Thanks for the help.

By the way, how hard was it to cut and recarpet the console?? I wanna do that cause mine is dirty. Also, what type glue do you use to hold it down?

Thanks,

Kyle

hope it works for you! it works well for me.........just be sure to not let it burn.

as far as the console........it was a little tricky to tell you the truth. have to be careful removing the carpet. once it's off i sanded the sides down to get all the junk off it and then used a brush on type epoxy.........basically a simple materila glue. they sell the stuff at major fabric stores...

spray on glue that you would use for a headliner might work as well. just be sure to let it dry thoroughly and test it's strength before re-installing.

good luck!
